If a man’s dating profile says he is “open to short,” “open to long term,” “casual,” and “friendship” all at once, read it again. That is not a man keeping his options open. That is a man telling you, in writing, that you are an option.
And you keep falling for it.
He is not undecided. He is unbothered. He has no intention of choosing, because choosing means closing doors, and he likes his doors open. You are one of several. You are a placeholder until something he likes better swipes right.
So stop reading “open to long term” as a maybe for you. It is a maybe for anybody. The second someone shinier shows up, you are the timer that runs out.
